When you connect your Shopify store to KnotOffice, we collect and store the following data via the Shopify Admin API on your behalf:
We also collect account information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and organisation name when you register.
We use the data we collect exclusively to:
Your Shopify store data is stored in a hosted relational database. Each organisation's data is logically isolated — we never mix data across tenants. Data is retained for the duration of your active subscription and for a reasonable period after cancellation to allow for data export.
We use the following third-party services to operate KnotOffice:
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We apply industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage of API credentials, and access control to limit who within our organisation can access production data. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Upon a verified deletion request, we will remove your organisation's data from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
You may also disconnect your Shopify store from within the application at any time, which halts all future data syncing.
You retain full ownership of your Shopify store data. We act as a data processor on your behalf. We do not claim any rights over your data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
KnotOffice is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the application. Continued use of the service after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
